Dawn of the Duskwalkers II: The Fire Within
Cleric of Lathander, Protector of Lfe, and Warrior of Light.
Aiden Brightmane is a Halfling Cleric who grew up in a small town in the Northern Wood outside of Duskalon. He became a cleric to Lathander and, due to his stout nature, became the leader of the town’s defense. Aiden was always an adventurer, and his desire to roam led him to Phandalin, where he would first meet Xavdak Duskwalker , John the Silent, and Reginold Augerhand. After their first adventure together, Aiden was tested by the Order of the Gauntlet and the Council of Lathander to spy on Xavdak and see if he was a murderer. Aiden was set up by the Order and framed for the murder of members of the town guard during an Orc raid; he fled into the Northern Wood where he was rescued and tained by a Ranger. Aiden then tracked his way back to his friendXavdak and after his personal investigation defended his innocence and vowed to defend his life. Aiden’s vow would be demanded of him; he willingly sacrificed himself into a machine which transformed him into Trothat di Tobor, an Ancient Bronze Dragon who defended Duskalon from Tiamat during the Battle of the Dragons. Aiden’s life and body after the battle was taken up to Lathander, and Xavdak Duskwalker and Duskalon haven’t seen him since. Aiden Brightmane found himself in the presence of his God who was pleased with his sacrificial heart to preserve life that even didn’t seem to deserve it. Lathander anointed Aiden as the Warrior of Light and Protector of life, sending him back to the Northern wood to fight against evil Orc and Drow hoards trying to conquer innocent towns in the Wood. Lethander gave Aiden strict orders not to interfere with Xavdak or Duskalon and to be wiling to go wherever Lathander asked him to defend and protect life. The past three years have been spent as an ardent warrior and protector; a burst of hope and joy as he dances at an inn with townspeople, and a lightning bolt of fear as he grips his Battle-axe “The Revenant” and charges into a hoard of Orcs. His passion and zeal for life and it’s protection have earned him the name “Protector of LIfe” by those he defends, and “Dark Hunter” and “Orc Slayer” by those he hunts. Now Duskalon is again in turmoil, and Aiden has been summoned to protect those who he holds most dear from their enemies; both outside and in.
